Getting started

This guide takes you from zero to a deployed bot.

1) Create a project

  1. Sign in to the GoBotify builder.
  2. Create a project for your workspace or product.
  3. Keep projects scoped to a single product line to simplify knowledge bases.

2) Add knowledge

  • Upload PDFs, text, or Markdown.
  • Add URLs/FAQs for quick ingestion.
  • Keep content current; stale docs lead to fallbacks.

3) Define personality & safety

  • Set tone, allowed/off-limits topics, escalation rules, and fallback behavior.
  • Use the guided personality form to store structured JSON alongside freeform instructions.

4) Choose platform and configure

  • Select Web, Discord, WhatsApp, Telegram, or Teams.
  • Provide tokens/keys and follow the webhook instructions shown in each step.

5) Deploy and test

  • Save + deploy the bot.
  • Use “Test your bot” in the personality step to validate before going live.
  • Confirm responses use both personality and knowledge base content.

6) Monitor analytics

  • Visit the Analytics tab for conversation counts, fallbacks, escalations, and channel breakdowns.
  • Track daily trends to spot regressions after changes.
